Started in Windham, NH, Project Blackout is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization on a mission to turn out the lights on pediatric cancer. Dedicated to uniting local towns and schools by wearing ONE t-shirt, Project Blackout aims to educate communities, raise funds for local research projects, and support those affected by pediatric cancer through athletics and youth-centric events.

Participating schools host Blackout Cancer games and encourage everyone to wear their t- shirt on the day of the Blackout Football Game to demonstrate unity and raise awareness. The Blackout t-shirts have become a powerful symbol of community spirit and support for local children and families who have had to endure all that comes with a cancer diagnosis. T-shirts from previous years are usually seen all over the schools/towns for the weeks leading up to the annual Blackout day.

Proceeds of t-shirt sales will directly benefit critical childhood cancer research and support at Boston Children’s Hospital and Dartmouth Health Children's, as well as select local non-profits supporting families currently navigating a child's diagnosis.
